Balance distribution

Holdings by category

Exclusive balance bands. Changes show how much NIM moved into or out of each category over the last 7 and 30 days.

Balances include available NIM and stake owned by each address.

NIM ownership breadth

This metric shows whether NIM ownership is spreading across more material holders or concentrating into fewer addresses. Thresholds are cumulative: an address above 10M NIM is also included in every lower band.

What it tells you
How many addresses clear each meaningful balance level and how those holder populations evolve.
Balance definition
Available account balance plus active, inactive and retired delegated stake, including the mandatory deposit owned by each validator address.
History
Hourly observations for the latest 30 days, with daily history before that, reconstructed from the complete accounts trie, indexed ledger movements and staking-contract history. Audited Nimiq 2.0 prestaking and pre-validator commitments remain attributed to their owner throughout migration.

System reward sources and the staking contract itself are excluded, so protocol bookkeeping is not counted as a holder.
